The 2022 Gavi from Giacosa Fratelli is fresh, dry, and light—bright with yellow apple, lemon zest, and white flower aromas. Fermented and aged in stainless steel without malolactic, it retains crisp acidity and a clean, harmonious profile. A touch of nuttiness adds complexity, and its graceful finish makes this an excellent pairing for shellfish, starters, and light fish dishes.
Giacosa Fratelli is a multi‑generational, family‑owned estate based in Piedmont, Italy, founded in 1895 by Giuseppe Giacosa. Working out of Neive, the family has steadily expanded its holdings to some of the region’s finest vineyards, embracing both tradition and sustainability in vineyard and cellar. Their practices include organic farming, native yeast fermentations, stainless steel or neutral vessel aging, and a light touch that allows site, variety, and vintage to show clearly. They emphasize freshness, mineral energy, and balance across their wines—whether red or white. Deep-rooted in the culture of the Langhe, the Giacosa family is known for wines that are precise, expressive, and reflective of their soil and climate. Their Gavi bottlings are no exception: Cortese from the Alessandria hills, carefully managed to preserve varietal purity and drinkability.
