The 2021 Meursault Clos Richemont opens with fresh aromas of green apple, lemon peel, and pear, complemented by intense minerality and fine notes of acacia and marzipan; it is vibrant, textured, and finished with poise and vitality — Decanter scored it 94. Additional tasting notes from Robert Parker describe it as medium to full-bodied with scents of honeyed pastry, toasted nuts, white flowers, and a long, mineral finish, rated at 91–93 points. Allen Meadows (Burghound) assessed its complexity, noting petrol and citrus mingled with acacia and crushed fennel, with a seductive mouthfeel and superbly long finish, earning it 93 points. The wine demonstrates both clarity and persistence, ideal for near-term enjoyment with commendable cellaring potential.
Domaine Henri Boillot, formerly part of the storied Boillot family, continues its legacy in Meursault under Henri’s stewardship. A monopole holding, Clos Richemont lies within the “Les Cras” Premier Cru zone and was acquired around 2019. The estate manages this southeast-facing site with great care, emphasizing low yields, sustainable viticulture, and expressive terroir-driven style.
