The 2016 Vin de Constance shows a glowing amber hue. On the nose it offers a richly aromatic bouquet of Seville orange marmalade, honeysuckle, quince, saffron, and ginger, layered with dried mango and vanilla.  The palate is opulent yet precise: sweet but never cloying, with fine acidity cutting through, delivering flavors of candied citrus, honey, and spiced stone fruit, finishing long with crystalline clarity and salinity. 

Klein Constantia is an historic South African estate in the Constantia Valley, revived in the 1980s to resurrect its famed sweet wine heritage. The vineyard lies close to the Atlantic, benefiting from cool maritime breezes that preserve acidity even in late-harvest conditions. The estate employs meticulous selection: grapes are picked in multiple passes, then vinified gently, aged in a mix of barrels and foudres, and blended for balance and depth. Their approach aims to capture the intensity and elegance of Muscat de Frontignan, while preserving freshness and purity of fruit.
