Harvested from the deep, glacial‑derived alluvial terrace of the Hermitage hill, this 2022 vines produce a wine of bold amplitude and remarkable purity. On the nose it opens with layers of mulberries, black cherries, tar, roasted herbs and graphite, underscored by fresh floral lift. On the palate it’s full‑bodied and richly textured—with velvety tannins, dark fruit depth, mineral intensity and a long, smoky finish that promises decades of evolution. 

Founded in 1808 and now led by Michel Chapoutier, this estate remains a benchmark of terroir‑driven winemaking in the Northern Rhône. With a commitment to biodynamic viticulture and single‑parcel bottlings, Chapoutier emphasises minimal intervention and meticulous vineyard work to let each site express itself fully.
