The palate is opulent yet precise, with concentrated flavors of baked apple, Mirabelle plum, and lemon curd, framed by hints of almond cream and subtle spice. Fine, persistent mousse and a broad, structured body lead to a long, savory finish. The magnum aging further enhances freshness and development, making this a wine of both immediate appeal and decades-long cellaring potential.

Founded in 1849 in Épernay, Pol Roger is one of Champagne’s most respected family-owned houses, known for its refined, Pinot Noir–driven style and unwavering commitment to quality. The estate owns over 90 hectares of prime vineyards in Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs, and works closely with select growers to source additional Grand and Premier Cru fruit. All fermentations take place in stainless steel to preserve purity, followed by an extended lees aging period—often far longer than appellation requirements—contributing to the house’s signature creaminess and finesse. Pol Roger’s prestige cuvée, Sir Winston Churchill, was created in 1975 as a tribute to the legendary British statesman and loyal client. Made exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards favored by Churchill, the cuvée reflects his preference for robust, long-lived Champagnes dominated by Pinot Noir.
