The 2012 Cuvée Prestige opens with rich aromas of black raspberry, cassis, licorice and smoky‑meat undertones.  On the palate this wine delivers full body, concentrated intensity, polished sweet tannins and a stacked mid‑palate that builds slowly.  The finish is long and structured, with depth of fruit balanced by herbal garrigue and mineral lift—indicative of a wine built for both enjoyment and cellaring. 

Domaine Roger Sabon is a respected estate in the heart of the Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape appellation, crafting its wines from very old vines (often 60‑100 years old) on red clay and limestone soils with galets roulés.  Their flagship wine, the Cuvée Prestige, is the result of traditional methods: hand‑harvesting, 25‑30 day maceration with regular délestage, and ageing for 16‑18 months in large foudres and demi‑muids.  The estate is recognised for producing wines of both power and finesse, rooted in old‑vine Grenache and supported by Syrah, Mourvèdre and other permitted varieties—making Sabon a benchmark name for serious Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape.
