This dense, tightly wound wine delivers aromas of tar, olive, tobacco, dusty cherry, and plum. On the palate it’s vibrant and mineral‑etched, with fine-grained tannins and a long, firm finish.
San Giusto a Rentennano is a highly regarded Tuscan estate rooted in the Gaiole-in-Chianti zone, run by the Martini di Cigala family. Percarlo is their top-expression Sangiovese, drawn from low-yielding vines across six selected vineyards on sandy, stony soils. The estate ferments in concrete and steel, then ages the wine for 20–22 months in barrels and tonneaux, releasing it unfiltered after further bottle aging.
