A warm, expressive vintage tamed by skillful winemaking: it offers stewed plum, prune, licorice, bruised red apple, tobacco, and leather notes. Softening with age, it remains balanced and nuanced, with a savory finish and hints of earth and spice.
From Tuscany’s famed coastal estate Le Macchiole, Paleo Rosso was historically made as a Bordeaux-style blend (95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Sangiovese in that vintage) before evolving to a Cabernet Franc–based wine in later years.
