The 2020 Clos des Ducs in magnum begins with a glossy garnet‑ruby hue and a profoundly perfumed nose of rose petal, violet, wild cherry and raspberry, layered with whisperings of clove, incense and crushed stone.  On the palate it delivers an elegant yet concentrated experience: crisp acidity and fine, persistent tannins frame a core of red and blue fruit, while shimmering minerality and subtle hints of orange rind, peony and dried herb add complexity. The mid‑palate reveals layers of graphite, cedar chest and iron‑tinged earth, lending tension and poise. The finish is extraordinarily long and refined—echoes of cherry pit, dusty spice, and a flinty mineral after‑taste linger well after the sip.
