The 2019 Biserno opens with a deep garnet‑ruby colour and an alluring bouquet of black‑currant, blueberry, sage and rosemary, accented by tobacco, chocolate and licorice.  On the palate it is full‑bodied yet polished—firm, refined tannins frame a core of dark fruit, while vibrant acidity and a mineral network of slate and graphite provide lift and tension.  Mid‑palate complexity reveals an interplay of espresso, black cherry, incense and forest‑floor underbrush, with a long, persistent finish marked by dark fruit, licorice and savory spice.  This wine balances immediate appeal with serious ageing potential—it’s already beautiful now but built to evolve gracefully into the 2030s. 

Tenuta di Biserno is a distinguished estate in Tuscany’s Bolgheri region, founded by Lodovico Antinori (of the historic Antinori family) and located near Bibbona.  The vineyards are planted on gravely and limestone‑rich soils, with maritime influence and high‑altitude exposures—factors that give the wines both charm and structure.  The estate focuses on Bordeaux‑style blends (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot) with rigorous sorting, low yields, and ageing in French oak, positioning Biserno among Italy’s modern cult classics.
